Our Story
Century Batteries began with simple ideas: best batteries, honest advice, and great service at an amazing price.
Before Century Batteries ever had a storefront, our founder was working in the battery industry, building experience at large retail and wholesale battery companies, developing strong relationships with customers and trusted distributors. Over time, one thing became clear: too many customers were being oversold, under-informed, or pushed toward products that weren’t actually the best fit for their needs.
So in December 2010, Century Batteries started the most grassroots way possible — by delivering batteries directly to people at their homes, business, on work sites and more. No showroom. No flashy displays. Just high quality batteries with fair pricing, and honest advice.
That commitment to doing things the right way hasn't changed.
From a Storage Locker to the Fraser Valley
In 2012, Century Batteries opened its first "store" — a modest operation run out of a storage locker with a small but carefully chosen inventory. By 2015, that vision grew into our first full retail location in Abbotsford, followed by Port Coquitlam in 2018, and most recently Chilliwack in February 2025.
Each location was opened with the same goal: to serve the local community with better products, better advice, and better service than the big-box alternatives.
We're proud to be a locally owned business with an experienced team that continues to grow because customers trust us — and tell their friends.

Instead of relying on mass-produced, low quality products, we work with smaller-scale manufacturers who still build things to a higher standard. This allows us to carry batteries and equipment that outperform many of the corporate “big name” options you’ll find at national chains allowing us to pick and choose products more freely for specific applications and needs.
